Select Board Minutes May 9, 2011

Present:

Sign check manifest for 9 May 2011 for $ 12,393.06

Review and sign minutes from meeting of 2 May 2011.

Selectmen reviewed and signed agreement for additional testing at the fire station with  ECS  Marin additional testing was required by the DES

Selectmen reviewed a request  from the DES that the deed to the old town landfill site get updated to allow the town to enter into a long term monitoring of the site.

Becky Elliott presented a permit to operate a coin drop to benefit The Relay for Cancer.

Selectmen reviewed and signed Credit application to Maine Oxy.

Selectmen Signed Timber Tax Warrant.

Memorial Day Ceremony will be on Saturday at 10:00.  There will be an honor guard but no band.

Selectmen Signed April bank reconciliations.

Meetings of the Budget Advisory Committee need to be posted since they are a public body.

7th Annual Emergency Preparedness Conference – June 16th.

Selectmen approved a request from Marlow Library  they would like to reserve Jones Hall June 30th for Little Red Wagon show.

Selectmen reviewed and signed Renewal PILOT agreement for 412-013.

Selectmen Signed letter ref fireworks to State Fire Marshal’s Office.

Update on BTLA Appeal.

Selectmen reviewed and signed  a contract for fire extinguishers maintainance.

Selectmen signed PO for Highway Dept to Chappell Tractor Sale for filters and axle seals.

Sign check manifest for 9 May 2011 for $ 7,319.24

Review and sign minutes from meeting of 9 May 2011.

Danielle Morse met with selectmen to resubmit for the Fire Hydrant Grant

Selectmen reviewed septic approval for M&L 405/3.2

Received DES inspection report on the Village pond Dam

Selectmen reviewed procedure to access the unreserved fund in the event catastrophic emergency

Selectmen filled out timber tax assessment for lot 403-004

Selectmen filled out timber tax assessment for lot 202-026

Ken Avery came and got sworn in as Police Chief

Selectmen reviewed and approved new Transfer station coupons to be available @ the town office in the amounts of $2,$5 and $10. Coupons and checks will be accepted after July 1st no cash will be accepted.

Selectmen signed intent to cut for  Map & Lot 406-004

Discussed updating deed to old land fill property

Discussed purposed pending IT agreement with Competitive Computers.

Review and sign minutes from 23 May 2011.

Selectmen approved  application for Parade Permit for Memorial Day.

Selectmen reviewed and initial BTLA A-9 for IOOF.

Selectmen signed Intent to Cut for Map 411 Lot 013.

Selectmen approved quote received from Wendy Ganio ref survey of old landfill site in the amount of $1,980.00.

Selectmen reviewed Email dated May 1 from LGC ref member update.

Selectmen reviewed notice from Town of Stoddard ref Cell Tower Hearing.

Selectmen reviewed final Election results.

Selectmen reviewed Transfer Station coupons and notice, also procedure for handling coupons.

Review list of those who have not returned inventories in reference to pick up work.

Selectmen signed Tax Warrant.

Selectmen did preliminary reviewed Ambulance Contracts.

Selectmen reviewed letters sent out to those with timber reports pending.

Follow-up from Conference Call with BTLA.
