Review and sign minutes from meeting of 29 October 2012.

Shelley Huntley came in to discuss her ability to campaign for John Mann at the Perkins School.  Reviewed RSA659:43:2.

Maria Baril came in to ask that the Town pay for the posts only, for the new dedication sign for the Tin Shop Pond fence. Selectmen agreed to the expenditure.
 
Discussed Fairpoint’s pending lawsuits regarding taxation of utility poles by municipalities.

Selectmen approved Executive Administrator to attend RCC Meeting on Wednesday November 7 at Cheshire County House of Corrections.

Selectmen discussed 1 person attending each day at 71st Annual Conference.

Selectmen to meet with GIS for web site data. Reviewed information from Main Street GIS.

Selectmen discuss equipment for EOC – microwave, coffee machine and basic supplies.

Selectmen reviewed Comstar correspondence.

Selectmen discussed costs associated with “The Lighting of the Christmas Tree’ celebration.

SWRPC – ‘A Crossroads:  What’s next for NH’s Transportation Infrastructure’.

Selectmen signed Tax Abatement.

Selectmen discussed Dry Fire hydrants and to see which ones the Fire Dept want us to work on next..

November 13, 2012

Sign check manifest in the amount of $6,627.62 for November 13, 2012

Tom Foote came into discuss the dry hydrant across from the fire station. It does not work and is not part of our Hydrant upgrade. Tom requested permission to remove the old hydrant. Tom also requested authorization to Take Engine 1 in for some mechanical repairs at Valley Equipment. Selectmen agreed that repairs of less than $500.00 are ok to proceed. If repairs are expected to be in excess of $500.00 it will require additional approval.

Selectmen signed the following Purchase orders

      -For Fire dept. re-cert SCBA for $550.00

      -For mat for the new shed at highway dept for $1,110.88

      -For replacement Batteries for highway equipment for $222.30

      -For Flags and grave markers in the amount of $239.05

Selectmen reviewed revision to the revised MS1 to be submitted to the DRA

Tom Canfield called - he will be removing white pines on Map 202 Lot 034, just wanted to keep Town informed and let them know he is working with the NHDES.
